**Segregate Garbage into Bio-degradable and non-Bio-degradable**      **Reduce generation of Solid Water**    **Re-use, Recycle and Recover**    **Promote decentralized Waste Management by doing Home composting, Community composting and Institutional composting**

              The objective of the project is to improve the delivery of urban services through enhancing the quality of urban infrastructure and strengthening the industrial and financial framework. The proposed repeated project would build on and consolidate the achievements of TNUDP II, continuing to improve urban infrastructure services in Tamil Nadu in a sustainable manner.

1. The two days training Programme on JnNURM for the Chairperson and the Commissioners of the ULBs was commenced at Hotel TTDC, Ooty on 05.07.2010. The said training programme will be conducted at Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud and Mamallapuram in 9 batches cover
2. The fifth batch of the 6 days Exposure visit to Surat, Ahmedabad and Nasik was commenced for the Elected representatives and Officials of ULBs on the theme ‘ Planning and urban management, STP technology’ on 05.07.2010.
